Notes: Leofric 37 appears to have spent a considerable time in the thick of court politics, attesting charters between 977 and c.1007 / 1012. Whilst this tenure may seem unreasonably long it is one that can be traced with a moderate assurance in @Keynes, Atlas, LXVII.10, LXVIII.1d, LXIII.1-3. It is possible that he was convicted of theft and lost some of his lands; see Leofric 38, Leofric 25.
