Notes: Sebbe 1 ruled the jointly with Sigehere 2 and, according to Bede 1 was subject to King Wulfhere 1 of Mercia. After a rule of 30 years he abdicated and became a monk at St Paul's, London where he was buried. Until 1666 his tomb lay in the north choir next to that of King Æthelred 32 the Unready.
