Notes: He took control of London and Wessex some time after 23 April 1016 before being defeated by Cnut 3 at the Battle of Ashdown on 18 October. Having come to terms at Olney, Gloucs. he ruled Wessex (or England south of the Thames) until his death on 30 November. Buried at Glastonbury.
