||In his letter Honorius 2 referred to the pallium which he sent to both Honorius 1 and Paulinus 1, so that when either of them died, the other might put a bishop in his place. He wanted to spare them the toilsome journey to Rome, over great distances of land and sea, for the purpose of consecrating an archbishop
