||Colmán 1 took those who would not accept the catholic Easter and returned to Ireland in order to discuss what he ought to do.
*Colmán 1 and his predecessors are said to have been frugal and austere. The final part of the chapter contains a long description of the humility and zeal of the Lindisfarne community.

(Bishop of Lindisfarne, 661-664; founder of Innisboffin) : On leaving he took with him some of the bones of the reverend father Aidan 1, and left some others at Lindisfarne, directing that they should be interred in the sanctuary.
