Description |
At night Dunstan 1 had a vision of his mother getting married to a king. In the vision a youth dressed in white taught him an antiphon in praise of the king. When he woke up, Dunstan 1 had the song recorded in writing. The following morning he taught it to all monks and clerics. |

Notes:
In B 1's interpretation of the vision, Dunstan 1's mother represents the Church getting married to Christ. In a possible second hypothesis B 1 suggests that in the vision the mother might represent the diocese committed to Dunstan 1.
