The East Angles (Anonymi 2257); ii. the East Saxons (Anonymi 2258); iii. the Middle Saxons (Anonymi 2259); iv. Oxfordshire; v. Cambridgeshire; vi. Hertfordshire [F(Lat.): Hereford]; vii. Buckinghamshire [F(Lat.): Buckingham]; viii. Bedfordshire [F(Lat.): Bedford]; ix. half of Huntingdonshire; x. much of Hampshire [EF(OE and Lat.) omit]; to the south of the Thames: all the people of Kent (Anonymi 2260) [F(Lat.) has: all Kent] and the South Saxons (Anonymi 2261) and the people of Hastings (Anonymi 2262) and Surrey and Berkshire and Hampshire and much [F(Lat.) substitutes: half] of Wiltshire.
