Edward 15 attended divine services devoutly every day; of his free will devoted to God, he lived in the squalor of the world like an angel and zealously showed how assiduous he was in practising the Christian religion. He used to stand with lamb-like meekness and tranquil mind at the holy offices of the divine mysteries and masses, a worshipper of Christ manifest to all the faithful; and at these times, unless he was addressed, he rarely spoke to anyone.
