Notes

*Napier and Stevenson, p. 78, somewhat dubious, pp. 99-100, if spurious 'a singularly clever imitation', p. 121 n., complex date probably means 1005; Gelling, ECTV, no. 176, authentic basis, for immunity clause cf. S 1031; Sawyer, Burton, p. 57, notes similarities with S 917; Keynes 1980, pp. 109-11, on formulation, may be interpolated, pp. 260-1, apparently authentic; Lawson 1984, p. 725, cited; BA Facs., p. 8; Keynes 1993, pp. 265, 270, 273-4, authentic; Kennedy 1995, p. 128 n., provisions on judicial liberty suspicious, cf.
