King William orders Abbot Ęthelwig of Evesham to summon all who are under his authority and jurisdiction to have as many milites as they owe to the king ready in the king’s presence at Clarendon at the octave of Whitsun. Ęthelwig is also to come on that day and bring with him the five knights [milites] whom he owes from his abbey.
