Discussion of the name

Cam is probably an Old Cornish masculine name derived from OCo (and Old Welsh) cam ‘crooked, bent’, perhaps originating as a byname or representing one adopted into Old English.

This name may be unique. There is no entry for it in the PASE corpus nor does it apparently occur as a simplex personal name other than the instances in Exon noted above, although it does occur in both simplex and compound forms in place-names.
