Wulfhelm is an Old English masculine name comprising the elements wulf ‘wolf’ and helm ‘protection, helmet’.

There are 38 entries for Wulfhelm in the PASE corpus, of whom eight were moneyers and all but three pre-date c.1000, the exceptions being Wulfhelm 30, a catch-all category for occurrences of this name in DB, and Wulfhelm 31 and Wulfhelm 33, early eleventh-century moneyers at Cadbury and Ilchester respectively. In addition to these, a Wlfelmus occurs in a list of sureties in Liber Eliensis (f45).
