Boda is an Old English masculine name derived from boda ‘messenger, herald’ (Insley 2003: 378; contra von Feilitzen 1937: 204)

The only entries in the PASE corpus are for Boda 1, a slave in Bedfordshire in the late tenth century, and Boda 2, a catch-all category for occurrences of this name in DB.
