Orda is a masculine Old English name formed from the single element ord (‘spear’), either as a simple uncompounded name or as a short form of one of the many dithematic names in Ord– (Redin 1919: 52; von Feilitzen 1937: 335). No other examples of it have been recorded.Bibliography
