Discussion of the name

Eadhild is an Old English feminine name comprising the elements ēad ‘prosperity, happiness’ and hild ‘war, combat’; the Devon forms (Eddille, Etdilla) show assimilation of ld to ll (von Feilitzen 1937: 99, 232; Ekwall 1947: 27).

The only entries in the PASE corpus are for Eadhild 1, the daughter of King Edward 2 the Elder in the early tenth century, and Eadhild 2, a catch-all for occurrences in DB.  Although apparently rare, the name does occur occasionally in place-names, e.g. Ilton, Devon (Gover et al. 1931-2: i 308).
