Mærwynn is an Old English feminine name comprising the elements mære ‘famous, great’ and wynn ‘joy, rapture, pleasure’.

The only entries in the PASE corpus are for Mærwynn 1, a late tenth-century abbess of Romsey, and Mærwynn 2, a catch-all for occurrences in DB.
