Lithsmann is an Old English masculine name originating as an appellative liðsmann ‘seafarer, pirate, housecarl’ derived from Old Norse liðmaðr ‘follower, warrior’ (von Feilitzen 1937: 320-1).The only entry in the PASE corpus is for Lidhsman 1, a catch-all category for occurrences in DB.
