Anna is an Old English masculine name of uncertain derivation (cf. Redin 1919: 60, 72).There are six entries in the PASE corpus, of whom Anna 1 was a seventh-century king, Anna 2-3 were eleventh-century ecclesiastics, Anna 4 is a catch-all category for occurrences of this name in DB, and Anna 5-6 were moneyers at an unspecified mint in the mid-tenth century.
