Discussion of the name

Feolaga represents a late Old English borrowing of a masculine byname that occurs as Fælaghi in Old Swedish and as a patronymic Felagh in Old Danish (an Old Norse *Félagi is not on record); it occurs as an OE plural noun fēolagan in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle (MS D, s.a. 1016) and seems originally to have meant ‘partner (in shared venture)’ before developing the sense ‘fellow’ as in Modern English (von Feilitzen 1937: 250-1; Fellows Jensen 1968: 81; Cubbin 1996: 62; OED s.n. Fellow).

The only entry in the PASE corpus is for Felagi 1, a catch-all for occurrences in DB.
