Leofsidu is an Old English feminine name comprising the elements lēof ‘dear’ and sidu ‘custom, manner, conduct, purity’.

The only pre-Domesday occurrence of this name in the PASE corpus is that for Leofsidu 1, a late tenth- or early eleventh-century nun associated with Romsey Abbey.
