Discussion of the name
The name is of Scandinavian origin, attested in ON (where the regular form is Steinólfr) and Old Swedish (Stenulf) but not Old Danish, though the final element, –ulfr (ON), –ulf (ODan, OSw), was certainly used in Denmark. Von Feilitzen records the name under the ON etymon Steinólfr.PASE currently contains no other person of this name.
