Discussion of the name
Trasmund is a Continental Germanic masculine name, the first element probably being related to a word for ‘dispute’ and the second being mund ‘hand, protection’ (Forssner 1916: 235; cf. Insley 2003: 380).The only entry in the PASE corpus is for Trasmund 1, a catch-all category for occurrences in DB.
