Discussion of the name

Goldgifu is an Old English feminine name comprising the elements gold ‘gold’ and gifu ‘gift’.

The only entry in the PASE corpus is for Goldgifu 1, a catch-all for occurrences in DB; it is not otherwise recorded in documentary sources but does occur in place-names (von Feilitzen 1937: 273).
