Jorain is an Old French masculine name derived from Continental Germanic *Gotramn and comprising the elements guot ‘good’ or got ‘god’ and hraban ‘raven’ (von Feilitzen 1937: 301; cf. Forssner 1916: 127).There are no pre-Domesday occurrences of this name in the PASE corpus.
