Summary
In 1086 Eadwulf 68 was the subtenant of Miles Crispin on a holding of ½ hide at Addington, in the claylands of north Buckinghamshire. Eadwulf had ½ plough at work and his holding was worth 10s. The manor continued separate from the larger main manor in Addington and was later called Carbonels from the Carbonel family who held it by the end of the twelfth century (VCH Bucks.
