The only DB manors attributed to the name Smeawine TRE were barely 5 miles apart in the Frome valley, just on the Somerset side of the shire boundary with Wiltshire. They were clearly the same person, holding the only manor in each of the small vills concerned, Standerwick and Farleigh Hungerford.
